This course is a great introduction to screenprinting.
Using hand drawn line and stencils you will learn how to make one off prints using a silkscreen. Take the chance to experiment with colour and composition, learn how to mix inks and how to build an image up using multilayering and registration techniques.
About the Tutor
Emma Gardner is an artist and printmaker; she joined LPW as a member and volunteer after graduating in 2012 with a Degree in Fine Art from De Montfort University. In 2014 she became a studio volunteer, regularly assisting the studio team with the day to day running of the workshop. And was awarded Artist in Residence in 2015. Although her work employs mostly photographic printmaking processes, she enjoys teaching a range of printmaking processes.
Alongside her practice she works as a part-time Programming Officer and Gallery Assistant at Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park in Warwickshire.
