Print Club is a great way to meet other printmakers, develop and further your skills and build on your own printmaking practice as part of a small & supportive group. Guided by our expert LPW technicians you will get an overview of our studio, equipment and techinques as well as practical support and the time and space to explore, experiment and expand your printmaking practice. Previous printmaking experience is required.

Structure

6 x two hour sessions. 11am arrival and discussion of goals for that session, 12.45pm clear up of inks and materials for 1pm finish.

Week One: Health and Safety induction to Leicester Print Workshop, discussion of your chosen technique and aims or goals for the six weeks. Breaking into groups to explore your work supported by the Technician and introduction to your tools and equipment

Week Two, Three and Four: Support and guidance from the Technician. You will be encouraged to take an interest in the whole groups work.

Week Five and Six: More self-directed weeks for building on what you have learnt and with another chance to review the development of your work over the weeks. We strongly recommend you use these sessions to critically evaluate your own and others work.

Leicester Print Workshop 

Leicester Print Workshop is the regional development centre for printmaking. Established by artists in 1986, we are a registered charity, supported by Arts Council England. Our RIBA award-winning building is situated in Leicester City Centre's Cultural Quarter and is home to a large, well equipped open access Printmaking Studio.

We have over 30 years’ experience of teaching people printmaking. Our programme offers the largest number and broadest range of printmaking courses in the region, with courses suitable for beginners as well as experienced printmakers, delivered by practicing artists and nationally renowned tutors. Participants learn in small and friendly groups in our purpose-designed studio.
