Marbling onto Paper and Fabric

An amazing opportunity to try traditional paper marbling and fabric marbling together.
The morning will be spent learning about the history of traditional marbling, producing Battal (big size), Tarakli (comb) patterns and designs and using freshly made inks and A3 paper and learning about repeat pattern and abstract images.
After lunch, attendees will experience fabric marbling using these newly learned techniques. A wonderful chance to understand the process of marbling from a very experienced practitioner.

- Fabric marbling with techniques learned in the previous session
- Clean down and evaluations
About the Tutor
Gulizar Subay graduated from Mimar Sinan University in 2010 as a History Teacher. She was trained by one of the most important Ebru Master in the world, Mr Alparslan Babaoglu, and his student Mr Ugur Tasatan during her 3-year course at Fatih Sultan Mehmet University.
She organises workshops and works with universities, art galleries, schools and festivals demonstrating Marbling Art in the UK.
