Mapping Our Environment
|Location||Leicester Print Workshop|
|Date & Time||
Saturday 19th & Saturday 26th October
10.00am - 1.00pm
Take part in a collaborative project to find visual potential in over-looked, passed-by and taken-for-granted aspects of our environment. Using basic monoprinting techniques we will collect material from surfaces around the Print Studio environment to create a single communal collage which will then be divided up between participants in the form of small books.
- Introduction to project – inspiration and ideas
- Demonstration of how to take monoprints from surfaces
- Suggestions of places to explore within the workshop (and outdoors weather permitting)
- Collect prints from surfaces
Collectively, with advice and guidance, cut up and assemble prints taken on week one. The format will be in the form of a scroll/panorama.
Sometime after the final picture has been made the tutor will cut up the picture and create small artists’ books one of each will then be posted out to participants.
