A day working with disperse dyes to create a beautiful array of textile work using monoprint techniques. You will work with pre dyed papers and cut / tear them into forms, combining them with natural materials, found objects, fabric and stencils to create bold unique prints onto fabric. A brilliant development course for traditional printmakers or those wishing to extend their textile practice.
- Introduction to the course and a demonstration showing the various techniques that can be used with disperse dyes.
- Take a few moments to explore the LPW garden to find fresh materials that could be used in the process as resists.
- Experiment with the different colours of pre-painted dye paper whilst using stencils and found materials to create a variety of individual fabric samples.
