Tuesday Print Club - Linocut
|Location||Leicester Print Workshop|
|Date & Time||Tuesday 20th February
- Tuesday 27th March
11am - 1pm.
Print Club is an opportunity to gain confidence and build printmaking skills as part of a small group in a technician led series of sessions.
Focusing on one technique: Linocut, over six weeks, the first week will comprise teaching and demonstrations, whilst subsequent weeks take the form of self-directed, guided sessions, encouraging participants to use the time to explore and experiment with the technique.
Linocut is a relief printmaking technique. A design is cut into the lino surface with a sharp tool or knife, and the uncarved 'raised' areas of the image will print. The lino is inked with a roller and then impressed onto paper or fabric using a press.
