Come and join us for a day workshop and make drypoint prints inspired by the plants in our garden. Drypoint is a process of scoring into a plastic or metal plate, and the incisions you make hold the ink. You will learn how to draw, ink and print the plate. A great course for those new to printmaking as well as those wanting to learn a new technique. We may also try embossing with leaves and flowers.

Course structure

10.15am - Visiting the garden and gathering ideas, drawings, photos, perhaps some flowers if plentiful.
10.45am - Demonstration of how to score into the drypoint plate and also add other textures
11.00am - Work on plates
12.30pm - Lunch
1.00pm - Demonstration of inking and printing plate
